چکیده
Abstract Panicle size and grain number are important agronomic traits influence yield in rice (Oryza sativa), but the molecular genetic mechanisms underlying panicle control remain largely unknown crops. Here we report that LARGE2 encodes a HECT-domain E3 ubiquitin ligase OsUPL2 regulates rice. The loss of function large2 mutants produce large panicles with increased number, wide grains leaves, thick culms. by repressing meristematic activity. is highly expressed young grains. Biochemical analyses show physically associates ABERRANT PANICLE ORGANIZATION1 (APO1) APO2, two positive regulators modulates their stabilities. Genetic support functions APO1 APO2 common pathway to regulate number. These findings reveal novel mechanism LARGE2-APO1/APO2 module-mediated rice, suggesting this module promising target for improving

The OsmiR396c‐OsGRF4‐OsGIF1 regulatory module determines grain size and yield in rice
Grain weight is the most important component of rice yield and is mainly determined by grain size, which is generally controlled by quantitative trait loci (QTLs). Although numerous QTLs that regulate grain weight have been identified, the genetic network that controls grain size remains unclear. Herein, we report the cloning and functional analysis of a dominant QTL, grain length and width 2 (...
متن کاملOsGRF4 controls grain shape, panicle length and seed shattering in rice
Traits such as grain shape, panicle length and seed shattering, play important roles in grain yield and harvest. In this study, the cloning and functional analysis of PANICLE TRAITS 2 (PT2), a novel gene from the Indica rice Chuandali (CDL), is reported. PT2 is synonymous with Growth-Regulating Factor 4 (OsGRF4), which encodes a growth-regulating factor that positively regulates grain shape and...

Effective panicle number, grain number, and grain weight are the three components of rice yield, of which grain number shows the highest variation and makes the largest contribution to yield output.Rice panicle number per plant is a grain yield component that directly influences rice yield. The identification of the genes controlling panicle number will play a vital role in high-yield rice bree...

15 صفحه اولThe QTL GNP1 Encodes GA20ox1, Which Increases Grain Number and Yield by Increasing Cytokinin Activity in Rice Panicle Meristems
Cytokinins and gibberellins (GAs) play antagonistic roles in regulating reproductive meristem activity. Cytokinins have positive effects on meristem activity and maintenance. During inflorescence meristem development, cytokinin biosynthesis is activated via a KNOX-mediated pathway. Increased cytokinin activity leads to higher grain number, whereas GAs negatively affect meristem activity. The GA...
